About Black Palm Cockatoo Parrots
The Black Palm Cockatoo (Probosciger aterrimus), also known as the Goliath Cockatoo, is a large, striking parrot known for its jet-black plumage and unique, powerful appearance. Native to the rainforests and woodlands of New Guinea and northern Australia, this bird is one of the largest and most distinctive members of the cockatoo family.
Physical Characteristics

- Plumage: Entirely black or dark gray with a large, striking crest. The facial skin is bare and can flush red when the bird is excited or alarmed.
