About Catalina Macaw Parrots
The Catalina Macaw is a hybrid parrot resulting from the crossbreeding of a Blue and Gold Macaw (Ara ararauna) and a Scarlet Macaw (Ara macao). Known for their striking coloration and playful personality, Catalina Macaws are popular among parrot enthusiasts.
Physical Characteristics
- Size: 33 to 35 inches (84 to 89 cm) in length.
- Weight: 1 to 1.5 kg (2.2 to 3.3 lbs).
- Plumage: A combination of the vibrant colors of its parent species. Typically, they have a mix of blue, yellow, and red feathers, with variations depending on the individual.
- Beak: Large and powerful, generally black or dark gray.

Lifespan
